Reminded me of flying an Ercoupe in the 80's. You have to consider your route to match the slow climb performance, and lots of time to reach your destination.

Long time since I’ve tuned in! Haven’t watched much aviation content lately. How’s the Vans build going?

I was going to land there in 2022, in the Maule, but only made it as far as the Evergreen Museum. Heard about a 50th anniversary thing about "American Graffiti" at Petaluma and changed plans, A nice change from southern California and experienced actual Oregon weather.

Such an amazing place. I made my first visit just a few weeks ago. I'm not missing the 2924 Fly-In this year!

Great to see the 'pre-flight ' map again James. I enjoy studying your U.S. format charts, so different from my N.Z. ones, and spend almost as much time tracking you and flicking back at points of interest as I do watching your video. Great stuff!

First time I watched the whole series about the Amboy trip. Great video and geography lesson at the same time. Great vid. I learned to fly in MS Flight Simulator in a third party PA-28 Warrior II in 1995 so that aircraft brings back memories. Beautiful scenery on your flight!

I was going up there in the Maule a year ago, but only got as far as McMinnville before weather and time cut me short. It's still on my list.
